Nine undergraduate students received a NSF-PIRE fellowship to do research abroad in the Summer of 2012, in one of the following universities: Bangor University, Wales (UK); Beijing Normal University (China), University of Granada (Spain), Lund University (Sweden), Radboud University Nijmegen (the Netherlands). The Penn State PIRE program, entitled ‘Bilingualism, mind, and brain: An interdisciplinary program in cognitive psychology, linguistics, and cognitive neuroscience’, is a unique international program that enables undergraduate and graduate students in Language Science to do research abroad in one of 9 international partner sites.
