Josephine Soddano

Josephine, a computational linguistics major, was accepted to the prestigious CSLI (Center for the Study of Language and Information) Summer School at Stanford University for the summer of 2019.  There were only 13 available spots and about 760 applications.  In previous honors linguistics work, Josephine has investigated language attitudes towards Appalachian dialects.

Josephine continues to work with Dr. Christopher Potts, the director of the CSLI on the research they did over the summer.  His research focuses on using computational methods to explore complicated topics such as language and emotion.  Congratulations, Josephine!
