Dual-Title Degree Information and Application

Dual-Title Degree Information and Application

To pursue a dual-title degree under this program, the student must first apply to the Graduate School and be admitted through one of the participating graduate degree programs. Twice a year (Fall and Spring), the Director of the Linguistics program sends out an email to the Linguistics faculty and graduate students to invite applications.

Graduate students interested in applying for admission to the dual-title PhD program must do so prior to passing their qualifying examination.

After receiving the application forms, a Dual Title admissions committee, consisting of faculty associated with the Program in Linguistics and the Center for Language Science and chaired by the Director of the Linguistics program, discusses the applications. Upon acceptance into the program, the applicant will be notified and an acceptance letter, signed by the Director of the Linguistics program and the Department Head of the graduate student’s program, will be sent to the Director of Graduate Enrollment Services.
